The TGS network became a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact in 2017. As a TGS member firm, we are committed to the sustainable development of our activities. Our network name and mission “Think Global Sustainability” is at the heart of our daily actions.
The ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact are in line with the TGS policy of social responsibility. As a TGS member firm, we focus on quality, building trust and establishing sustainable relationships with our employees, customers and stakeholders.
In an increasingly unstable and unpredictable global environment, questions continually arise about how we work and how we measure the impact of business on our environments. Every year TGS publishes a COP (Communication On Progress) which documents our sustainable action. You can download our most recent COP here.
Decent Work and Economic Growth
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
At TGS Romania we believe that Inclusive and sustainable industrialization, together with innovation and infrastructure, can unleash dynamic and competitive economic forces that generate employment and income. They play a key role in introducing and promoting new technologies, facilitating international trade and enabling the efficient use of resources.
In this respect, we foster on daily basis to encourage and implement digitization in our procedures, as part of the innovative strategy we want to implement.
Peace and Justice Strong Institutions
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
At TGS Romania we consider that conflict, insecurity, weak institutions, and limited access to justice remain a great threat to sustainable development. As a result, we have in place practices that prevent and combat possible cases of corruption and have in our core DNA the anti-money laundry codices.
Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
For TGS Romania, gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable business environment and world. Therefore, women are present in our Management Board, Ms. Dana Cornea being the Deputy Managing Partner and women personnel represent more than 50% of our total employees. More exactly, as of EO 2021, the women in total personnel represented 52%.
Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
At TGS Romania we consider that education enables upward socioeconomic mobility and is a key to escaping poverty. At TGS Romania, we have traditional partnerships with local Universities, such as Bucharest University of Economic Studies and Hyperion University providing mentorship programs to students that are interested in our core activities allowing them afterwards to join our team.
Good Health and Well-being
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
At TGS Romania we strongly believe that ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages is essential to sustainable development. Currently, as the world is still facing a global health crisis, we periodically provide free masks and Covid 19 tests for our employees and apply the recommended shift of personnel (working from home combined with physical presence in the office) in order to successfully combat the spread of the virus and to ensure a healthy environment for our employees.
